Usuthu head coach Arthur Zwane believes the young striker has the potential to reach the same level as the former Chiefs players, Billiat and Musona.
Ngwenya welcomed the comparison, revealing that Billiat is one of his role models and that he regularly turns to the former Warriors star for advice.
“Yeah, I feel happy because one of those players is my role model, Khama Billiat,” said Ngwenya.
“It makes me feel happy because every time I talk to him, he always tell me to shine.”
Ngwenya has been a nightmare for defenders since last season, but he says he knows they are starting to figure out his game.
The striker stated he will continue adapting and finding new ways to break through opposition defences.
“Yeah, obviously it’s a big challenge because they are going to try to always mark me but I will try to find another way to penetrate,” he added.
AmaZulu are back in action on Saturday, when they will face struggling Marumo Gallants at home.
