Polokwane City winger Oswin Appollis is currently in camp with his side at the Protea Hotel in Limpopo.
Appollis made a massive return to the top flight football last campaign after spending a season at Pretoria Callies in the Motsepe Foundation Championship where he caught the eyes of Polokwane City.
The former SuperSport United winger earned his place in the Bafana Bafana squad after producing quality performances week in and week out at City.
He finished the 2023/24 season as the club’s top goalscorer in all competitions with seven goals and had the most assists at the Rise and Shine.
Since the transfer window opened, there have been rumors of Appollis leaving City with interest from Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns, as well as Esperance de Tunis and MC Alger in North Africa.
Information received by this website states that a move now seems very unlikely to happen, as he is in City’s 30-man squad who have met at the Protea Hotel before it will be triggered down to 23-man tomorrow morning ahead of their clash with Magesi FC.
The Premier Soccer League window transfer is closing at 23h59 this evening, and any team that would like to have the talented winger now have limited time to complete a deal.
He missed PLK City’s last encounter against AmaZulu FC, when coach Phuti Mohafe stated that he has been rested after two AFCON Qualifiers against Uganda and South Sudan when he scored his first two international goals.
