Orlando Pirates and Durban City announced their starting line-up for the Betway Premiership clash that will take place at the Orlando Amstel Arena this evening.
It’s been 17 days since Pirates last played a Betway Premiership game where they hammered newly promoted Kruger United by 4-0 in Nelspruit.
The Buccaneers have since booked a spot in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round after eliminating Mauritius side La Cure Waves by 3-1 on aggregate.
Buccaneers find themselves in second place seven points behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, but with three games in hand. So far, the Betway Premiership champions scored 12 goals in the league and only conceded once.
The visitors Durban City just returned from a trip from Burundi where they eliminated Rukinzo FC from CAF Confederation Cup by 3-1 on aggregate, extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to six matches. City also last played a league match 17 days ago in a goalless draw against Stellenbosch FC.
Khalil Ben Youssef’s side find themselves in ninth place with six points after five games. They won one, lost one and drew three matches.
These two sides faced each two times in the league, Pirates won one and the other clash ended as a goalless draw.
