iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye has questioned Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz’s decision to start Inacio Miguel ahead of Rushwin Dortley in their Soweto Derby defeat.

Amakhosi succumbed to their first Betway Premiership defeat of the season after going down 2-1 to fierce rivals Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

While the Buccaneers moved top (second now after Mamelodi Sundowns won 4-1 against Durban City), Amakhosi stayed in fifth going winless in four consecutive league matches.

Abdeslam Ouaddou’s charges claimed the bragging rights on the afternoon through Yanela Mbuthuma and Tshepang Moremi with Pule Mmodi scoring for Chiefs.

Voicing his thoughts on iDiski TV, Khanye admits he was surprised to see Dortley not played despite putting in a good shift in their 3-0 win over TS Galaxy in the Carling Knockout Cup last week.

“The Chiefs coach made a blunder. I don’t understand why he’s putting Dortley outside,” he said.

“Where’s the continuity as a team? Starting with the coach as a leader.

“These guys they never conceded [against Galaxy]. If that game had ended 4-1, 3-2, 3-1, you could understand they conceded.

“Now, solid performance. Leave two of them – Moloisane and Dortley so you can see what they can give you [as a coach].

“Now, you start with Miguel, worse is he got a red card in today’s [Saturday] game. He’s more of a sweeper but is always late which doesn’t make sense for me.”
