Orlando Pirates have been boosted by the return of left-back Paseka Mako.
The 30-year-old has been sidelined since October last year after picking up a knee ligament injury on international duty, shortly after his Bafana Bafana debut against eSwatini.
After undergoing surgery and rehabilitation, Mako resumed light training in August and is now back in full training as well as contention for match day.
“I’m so excited to be back on the field,” he told the club’s media team.
”The journey wasn’t easy but I’m eager to rejoin the team and contribute to the team’s success. It’s time to push myself. I’m ready to give my all again.
“Thanks to everyone who encouraged and supported me during my recovery.”
Pirates kick off their betway Premiership campaign against Chippa United at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night, 19:30.
