Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has opened up on the return of Sihle Nduli to the training pitch ahead of the MTN8 final as initially expected.
Nduli suffered a grade three ligament tear on his ankle after a horrific tackle from AmaZulu striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, which was a major set-back, physically and psychologically for the experienced midfielder.

The 30-year-old had just returned from a long-term injury before the set-back but after being ruled out for four months, it’s taken just a month and a week before returning to on-field training.
He was pictured in the open training with light running and not shooting or overexerting in the process of recovery with the medical team advice.
“Sihle, we’re happy to see him back on the pitch, in the process of rehab, soon you will be able to see him,” Ouaddou said ahead of the MTN8 final.
“He needs a couple of weeks but the good news is step by step he is coming back to the pitch.”
The likes of Evidence Makgopa Thalente Mbatha, Mohau Nkota, Makhaleni Makhaula and Kabelo Dlamini were spotted in full training, but it remains to be seen whether they will feature in the upcoming final this weekend.
