Orlando Pirates have suffered a new injury blow after midfielder Selaelo Rasebotja needed surgery after tearing his ACL.
The 24-year-old joined the club from SuperSport United ahead of the 2024/25 season, but has only made 11 appearances so far.
He has now suffered a new blow, tearing his Anterior Cruciate Ligament, with the typical recovery time between six and nine months.
“Definitely not how I would’ve loved to finish to the season. But God’s will always prevails and surely this too shall pass,” he wrote on social media.
“Devasted to have torn my ACL but I am immensely Grateful for a very successful surgery. Now it’s time to rest, recoup and prepare myself for Rehabilitation.”
