Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows have confirmed their starting line-ups for the Original Soweto Derby in the DStv Premiership at Orlando Stadium this evening.
The Buccaneers aim to keep their slim DStv Premiership league title hopes alive this evening by beating their neighbours Swallows, despite having played three more games than league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Sea Robbers already clinched the MTN8 but lost in the quarterfinal of the Carling Knockout Cup at the hands of Richards Bay.
The Bucs have a chance to be the ‘Kings of Soweto’ after defeating Kaizer Chiefs three weeks ago by 1-0 in the other derby.
Swallows started the season well and currently find themselves sitting sixth place, nine points behind Sundowns.
The Birds aim to avoid two consecutive defeats in the league, which is something that last happened in March when they lost to Pirates and Lamontville Golden Arrows.
Pirates are unbeaten against Swallows in six PSL matches (W3, D3), with the Birds looking for their first league win against the Bucs since they were relaunched.
