The PSL has revealed the postponement of this year’s awards ceremony due to Mamelodi Sundowns‘ participation in the CAF Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup until further notice.
With the awards usually held during the month of June after the conclusion of the premiership campaign, this year will not be the case.
Masandawana embark on a journey to conquer Africa when they take on Egyptian side Pyramids FC at Loftus Versfeld Stadium this coming weekend before jetting off to North Africa for the title-decider on June 1.
The Chloorkop-based outfit then travel to the USA for the Club World Cup which kicks off on June 14 – July 13.
On Tuesday afternoon, the PSL confirmed via a statement that the awards will indeed be put on ice with further details to be communicated at a later stage.
