Radiopane Breaks Silence After Injury Hiatus

Boitumelo Radiopane, who is on loan at Cape Town Spurs from Orlando Pirates, is working his way back to full fitness and is hoping to be ready by February to help Spurs fight relegation.

The striker, who celebrated a birthday last week, has missed the whole of the 2023/24 campaign so far but began training with the club in full this month.

This is the second season that Radiopane has spent on loan at Spurs, and went through similar injury issues last season campaign, but was instrumental for the club after he returned.

He is hoping to make a similar impact this time, though in a very different circumstance with Spurs sitting rock bottom of the DStv Premiership.

“At the moment, ja, I’m feeling good,” Radiopane told iDiski Times.

“I’m feeling good, not much of complaints. As mentioned before it has been a good start for me, as those who have seen on the social media that I have started training with the team. For me, it’s just been a good start.

“So, like, I want to keep that going and see where that is gonna take me.”

For now the 22-year-old is just working on being ready in February, and will take it from there.

“Ja, for me, it’s the goal,” he said.

“As you see, I’ve lost a bit of weight. And again, you know, at first, I started very skinny, I don’t know how I gained so much weight (laughs).

“But it’s something that you need to take control of when you can’t run. But other than that, I’m ready. I’m ready for anything.”
