Ramovic Addresses Ntwari To Chiefs Move

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic says Fiacre Ntwari’s impending move to Kaizer Chiefs is a testament to the incredible work done at the club.

Ntwari, 24, joined Galaxy from AS Kigali as a direct replacement for Melusi Buthelezi who moved to Orlando Pirates last season.

While he initially served as an understudy to Vasilije Kolak until late November 2023 but went on to impress in the Carling Knockout and Nedbank Cup which earned him a place in the starting line-up in the league.

“Since I joined this wonder club, we have improved the players, the club and especially our goalkeepers. Many players have gone on to make their national team debuts. And I want to give all the credit to my technical team,” Ramovic tells iDiski Times.

“As for the goalkeepers, all the credit goes to Greg Etafia, our goalkeeping coach. He is not only a positive person, he is also focused, determined and respectful. He prepares them physically and mentally for the highest level.

“And I have no doubt that he will help us develop a top goalkeeper again. Any coach would be blessed to have a goalkeeping coach like us on his team. And if he needs help, I am also happy to give him advice and my experience as a former goalkeeper.”

Ramovic feels the Rwanda international, who was part of the squad that beat Bafana Bafana 2-0 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers will find success at Amakhosi, where he has agreed to personal terms after the two parties secured a club-to-club agreement last week.

“Modern goalkeepers are as comfortable controlling the ball with their feet as they are with their hands. Having this ability allows them to help their team retain possession after they receive a back pass,” he explained.

“Ntwari has this ability. He is a great goalkeeper, a hard worker and a modern goalkeeper. He is also a fantastic human being who will fit well into a wonderful club like Kaizer Chiefs.”

Ntwari made 24 appearances for the Rockets in his only season at the club, conceding 23 goals and keeping nine clean sheets.
