Outgoing Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has insisted he cannot reveal his new club but admitted it will be announced soon.
The Buccaneers handed the Spaniard a rousing send-off, beating Golden Arrows 3-0 at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Goals by Tshegofatso Mabasa, Bandile Shandu and Kabelo Dlamini scored in Riveiro’s final game to keep Pirates title chances alive – at least mathematically, with Mamelodi Sundowns only needing one point from their last two games.
Riveiro is expected to be announced as new Al Ahly coach soon, but he himself admitted he cannot reveal his next destination.
“i wish but I can’t. There is things of confidentiality and stuff like that, it’s not me the one who has the responsibility to announce,” he told SuperSport TV.
“But it’s going to be very soon. I think that everybody will be understandable and hopefully happy for me and wishing me all the best.”

Riveiro also sent a final message to the club’s fans, asking them to support the young squad as well as whoever will be the new coach.
“They have to understand the type of players we have in the team, how young they are and they must help them to have a bright future,” he added.
“They must be patient with them, they have to be supportive with them as well as with the new coach, whoever is coming is coming with the intention to help the team go to the next level, to help the team go forward, to help the players to become better players and it’s important that the fans also having a decent amount of patience with him because he’s gonna need it.”
