Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro says the difference in playing against Magesi FC was probably the fact that the opponents are in a difficult situation without a head coach.
The two sides met for the second time this season as Pirates bagged maximum points from a sole Relebohile Mofokeng goal. This followed the Carling Knockout Cup encounter that Magesi stunned the Buccaneers 3-2 in Orlando on their way to lifting the trophy.

However, it was Riveiro’s third time facing the side as he was voted to lead the PSL All Stars side that humbled Dikwena Tṧa Meetse 3-0 in the Carling Black Label Cup.
After the game at the Old Peter Mokaba stadium, Riveiro said Magesi having challenges with coaches also played a role however they were still competitive and he’s happy to have gotten the win.
“The Carling Cup in Orlando, I think that game was really weird, really strange,” Riveiro responded to iDiski Times when asked about the difference in the encounters.
“We had a good 30 minutes and suddenly from nowhere we were 3-0 down. What is different probably the moment of Magesi is not the same.
“They are in a difficult moment in terms of results without coach Clinton [Larsen] right now, starting a new period with a new coach.

“So, many things, games are always different. It’s not the same playing in Orlando than playing here. So, many components but in the end a competitive match I’m happy with the 1-0.”
