Orlando Pirates head coach says having players like Karim Kimvuidi proves the amount of quality he has in his squad, even though he cannot always be fair to every player.
Kimvuidi has only made 10 appearances for Pirates this season, and Tuesday’s Man of the Match performance was the first game of 2024/25 where he featured the full 90 minutes.

Riveiro, who also gave Boitumelo Radiopane and Yanga Madiba starting XI debuts, says he is happy with what some of the fringe players in his squad offered him in Tuesday’s 2-1 win at Golden Arrows.
“It’s an opportunity for us to utilise our players, to have more resources,” he said, as per Ayanda Nyuswa.
“It’s an opportunity for Karim to be consistent the next time he finds himself on the field, that’s the most important quality in a football team.
“Every player who is in the squad is here for a reason, we don’t have any bad players – everybody has something to say, something to contribute in this team.

“Luckily… There is not always the right opportunity for everyone. We cannot 100% fair with a squad of 37 players, so they have to be patient, they have to keep working, they have to be very professional and patient to find opportunities like they did today.
“I’m so happy to have that headache every week, hopefully more coming.”
The win saw Pirates close their gap on Mamelodi Sundowns to nine points with a game in hand, but Masandawana only need seven more points from their remaining four games to wrap up their eighth successive Betway Premiership title.
