SAFA referee Sikhumbuzo Gasa has officially acquired his FIFA badge.
Gasa was voted as the Premier Soccer League Referee of the Season for 2023/24 following an outstanding campaign he had and recently officiated the Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City clash in the Mother City.
The Eastern Cape-born referee has been officiating category A games in South Africa, including last season’s Nedbank Cup final at Mbombela Stadium between Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.Â
Gasa joins Luxolo Badi, Masixole Bambiso, Jelly Chavani, Akhona Makhalima, Eugine Mdluli, Nonhle Ndlela, Abongile Tom, Cledwin Baloyi, Nandipha Menze, Kgara Mokoena, Kamohelo Ramutsindela, Alphas Sitole, Zakhele Siwela, Maneo Tau among those who have acquired their FIFA badges.

The 2023-24 PSL Referee of the Season will be eligible to officiate CAF matches going forward including the CAF Champions League, and AFCON should he get the nod.
