Seema Gives Update On Mbule Debut

Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema has revealed the club’s new acquisition Sipho Mbule is close to making his debut for Ba bina Noko.

Mbule, 26, joined the Limpopo side on transfer deadline day on a season-long loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns. The player has been in Polokwane with the team since joining them but yet to feature in any official games as he aims to revive his career after falling down the pecking order at Chloorkop.

Seema told a media conference on Thursday that the talented midfielder is coming alright in training, however, shouldn’t just expect to walk into the team without working for it.

“Our latest acquisition, they call him what, ‘Master Chef’, he hasn’t cooked for us so I can’t be calling him Chef yet,” the coach answered an iDiski Times question on Mbule.

“So, Sipho has been training. The good in our league is that players are friends they know each other and you find even socially outside of football they play social games together.

“So, I think it has been very, very easy for him to adapt and to feel at home immediately. I must say that these two weeks that we spent here in Polokwane helped us a lot in terms of team relationships and making sure that we try and understand each other.”

“Getting closer to playing a match? Well, he knows that he didn’t find a team that didn’t have players. We have midfielders, we have defenders, and we have strikers.

“He still needs to work very hard to make sure that he gets his place, but the good thing is he has been training where he is coming from, and he did preseason.

“One thing I can say is that he is not far at all, he is not that far but yeah work in progress. We are trying to make sure that he understands the way Sekhukhune United is playing, not the way Seema is playing. He has to adapt into the team structure and make sure that he understands his teammates but yeah, it’s promising,” Seema added.
