Sekhukhune Settle On Tinkler Replacement

Sekhukhune United assistant coach Paulos Masehe is set to take charge of the side on an interim coach basis.

Babina Noko are yet to confirm the exit of head coach Eric Tinkler, with whom they held discussions regarding a settlement agreement on Monday, as they aim for a new chapter.

Latest information received by iDiski Times states that Masehe will take over on an interim basis until the end of the season and he will be assisted by former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Andre Arendse.

The 42-year-old knows Babina Noko inside out, as he has been serving at the club for some years, firstly as the reserve side head coach before being appointed as assistant coach to Lehlohonolo Seema.

He stayed in the role when Tinkler took over from Seema, and will now see out the remaining games of the 2025/26 campaign for Babina Noko.

United are expected to make a public announcement in the coming hours or days with all the information on their technical team reshuffle.

They face Stellenbosch FC on Friday night at the Danie Craven Stadium. With six games outstanding, Sekhukhune are in fifth spot with 38 points – four behind Kaizer Chiefs in third, who have two games in hand.
