High-flying Pirates come into this tie as clear favourites having been on song in their past couple of matches across all competitions and will look to narrow the gap at the top to three points between them and leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
‘Shabba’, who still holds the record for the most Soweto Derby appearances (31) and scored seven goals, predicts that Amakhosi will beat Pirates by a 2-1 scoreline.
“This is our time; this is our moment,” Tshabalala said during the derby presser.
“Remember this is the first Betway Premiership Soweto Derby, so Chiefs will win 2-1.”

On the other side, former Pirates captain Happy Jele predicted Pirates to win the match with a comfortable 3-1 scoreline similar to in March 2018 when Luvuyo Memela scored a brace and Thembinkosi Lorch scoring the other one, with Leonardo Castro scoring the only goal for Chiefs.
“Pirates 3-1 Chiefs,” Jele said.
The sold-out affair is scheduled for kick off at 15:00.
