Simba SC have announced the appointment of former Bidvest Wits goalkeeper coach Tyron Damons as part of their new-look technical team.
Damons joins the recently appointed Pablo Franco Martin at the Liga Kuu Bara champions who have ambitious goals for the 2021/22 campaign.
After being knocked out of the CAF Champions League by Jweneng Galaxy, the East African giants parted ways with Didier Gomes via mutual consent and roped in the former Real Madrid assistant coach for his first foray in Africa.
With the domestic trophies on offer a must-win for the Spaniard, iDiski Times understands Martin has also been informed he must challenge for the CAF Confederation Cup title.
And Damons has now been roped in to shore up their goalkeeping department in their quest for continental success.
The 43-year-old worked for four seasons at Wits before stints with Chippa United and TS Galaxy in the South African top-flight.
