Mamelodi Sundowns and Magesi FC have confirmed their starting lineups for the newly crowned champions’ last match of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign at Loftus Versfeld Stadium this afternoon.
Sundowns will wrap up the domestic season in front of their supporters and will lift the new Betway Premiership trophy becoming the first team to lift the league title under the new sponsor – Betway.
Miguel Cardoso’s side have gone five league games without conceding a single goal and scored 14 in the process. The Tshwane giants have had a stellar season where they managed to reach 100 goals in all competitions, becoming the first team in PSL history to do so.
Magesi are one point away from avoiding playoffs. The Limpopo-based side have three games remaining including this one to wrap up their first season in the topflight and they could possibly finish in the top eight if they win all three and other results favour them.
These two sides faced each other already this season. Sundowns came on top in the league match beating them 2-1 and they played against each other again in the Carling Knockout Cup final where Dikwena Tsa Meetse caused a huge 2-1 upset after coming from behind.
