Cape Town Spurs have lodged a protest in terms of Rule 51 of the NSL Handbook against fellow Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Durban City regarding the alleged indelibility of player Saziso Magawana.
JDR Stars initally started the protest when they lost their clash 3-0 to Durban City, complaining about the same player.
While the KwaZulu-Natal-based side, who are top of the MFC standings and need just one point to seal their Betway Premiership return, will have to wait a little longer after the PSL ordered the handover of the trophy to be put on hold.
On Sunday afternoon, as the Urban Warriors took to the field against City, they issued a handwritten protest letter which read:
The PSL has already issued a statement regarding the above said club and player, and a DC will be thus held on Tuesday, 20 May, to determine the outcome of the matter.
