Sundowns Make February Decision

Mamelodi Sundowns have extended the stay of goalkeeper Jody February for a further a year till June 2026.

February joined Sundowns at the beginning of 2019/20 seasons after leaving Cape Town Spurs but spent several seasons out on loan, with spells at Cape Umoya United, Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu FC.

He then returned to Sundowns to fight for his place against the likes of Ronwen Williams, Denis Onyango, Reyaad Pieterse and Sanele Tshabalala.

This season, the 29-year-old played seven matches (4 in Betway Premiership and 3 in the MTN8) with the club opting to keep him around for another season by exercising the option in his contract which will keep him at the club until June 2026.

The former Spurs goalkeeper is expected to travel with the club for the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States from June 14 – July 13.
