DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns‘ pre-season plans look set to take them to Austria in Europe ahead of the 2024/25 term.
Sundowns players are currently on vacation having been spotted across various holiday destinations after a daunting 2023/24 campaign that has seen them play over 55 matches.
It was all worth it in the end, as they wrapped up an unprecedented seventh consecutive league crown as well as the inaugural African Football League (AFL).
The Tshwane-based giants had little time to rest and unwind this past campaign, participating in more than six different competitions, including those that did Bafana Bafana duty at the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
iDiski Times understands that Sundowns will start their pre-season for 2024/25 on 1 July, with a trip to Austria on the cards in July for the domestic league record-breakers.
Rulani Mokwena’s men, who were in the Netherlands last year, are expected to leave the country in the second week of July, as the first week of next month will be used for medicals and some tests.
