Mamelodi Sundowns succumbed to a 2-0 defeat in their second pre-season friendly in Austria against Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal SC at Sportplatz Oberbuch on Friday evening.
Miguel Cardoso again rang changes to his starting troops after the club announced that 13 players would not play part in the clash against the Saudi giants.

Prior to kick-off, Masandawana announced that Kegan Johannes, Iqraam Rayners, Thato Sibiya, Marcelo Allende, Bathusi Aubaas, Brayan León, Keanu Cupido, Siyanda Ndlovu, Nuno Santos, Katlego Ntsabeleng, Arthur Sales, Thapelo Morena and Teboho Mokoena would all not play part in the match.
Sundowns fell behind just nine minutes into the clash with former FC Barcelona winger Malcolm opening the scoring. Sundowns could not pull themselves level as Hilal went into the break with the slender 1-0 lead.
Al Hilal doubled their lead in the 68th minute with Malcom grabbing his brace of the evening to see out the maximum points to make it two wins out of two in pre-season.
