Mamelodi Sundowns winger Abubeker Nasir could be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a ankle ligament injury.
The Ethiopian international has been struggling in South Africa since being hit by a bad tackle from Sipho Chaine in a 2-0 win against Orlando Pirates back in December 2022.
The 23-year-old made his return in March 2023 in a CAF Champions League clash against Cameroonian side Coton Sport and scored the second goal for Downs.
This season, Nasir only featured in three matches so far, one minute against AmaZulu, 45 minutes in a 3-0 win against Cape Town Spurs and 26 minutes in the CAF Champions League against Pyramids.
But news have reached iDiski Times that Nasir suffered an ankle ligament, which might keep him out of the team for the rest of the season.
