Timm Set To Land New PSL Club After Pirates Exit

Sekhukhune United are set to sign midfielder Miguel Timm after his exit from Orlando Pirates.

The 33-year-old has parted ways with Pirates after three seasons at the club, whom he joined in a dramatic late transfer twist, having initially agreed to join Babina Noko.

He played just 49 minutes of football at Pirates this season after injuries and falling down the pecking order with Thalente Mbatha and Mkheleni Makhuala featuring prominently in the midfield double pivot for Jose Riveiro.

And with his contract expiring in June, the two parties opted to part ways and Eric Tinkler, a known admirer of his talents, having worked with him during his time at Maritzburg United, is said to have requested his signing to add extra depth into their midfield for next season.

With Sipho Mbule returning to Mamelodi Sundowns after his loan deal, Timm is set to compete with Thabang Monare, Relebogile Mokhuoane and Siphesihle Mkhize for a place in the starting line-up.

iDiski Times understands a one-year deal with an option to extend has been agreed with Timm set to undergo his medical with the club on Friday.

During his time with Pirates, Timm won five domestic cups, which include the MTN8 three-peat and two Nedbank cup titles.
