Tiwani Reveals How Sundowns Interest Came About

New Mamelodi Sundowns signing Asekho Tiwani has broken his silence on how he found out about the club’s interest in him after the U20’s camp, saying it’s had a positive impact on his livelihood.

The 19-year-old teenage sensation joined Sundowns in the current transfer window from Sekhukhune United after a breakthrough last season under the watchful eye of coach Lehlohonolo Seema who gave him an opportunity in the first team.

Tiwani went on to feature in 16 matches, scoring twice and providing a single assist as Babina Noko’s finished in fourth place.

The talented left-back told the media during an MTN8 presser that he found out about Masandawana’s interest in his services just after being in camp with the junior national team side, but that he kept his feet on the ground while the deal was being finalised.

Tiwani added that his life has changed for the better and he hopes this will be a trend so he can also be able to look after his family.

“About the transfer, I found out about it after the U20 camp,” said Tiwani.

“That’s when I found out that they are interested in me, but it wasn’t something that went to my head because nothing was solid yet.

“So, I kept on working hard and so far, my life has changed but not in a bad way, in a good way. I’m positive that as time goes by it will get even better so that I can also be able to support at home,” he added.
