Richards Bay FC head coach Brandon Truter has questioned the foul committed by Orlando Pirates defender Thabiso Sesane on Justice Figuareido.
The Natal Rich Boys had a glorious opportunity in the first half when Figuareido out-paced Sesane with only the goalkeeper to beat but the Pirates defender brought him down and was given a yellow card.
Coach ‘Brakkies’ feels like they should’ve gotten something out of this game after losing it in the last 10 minutes with a stellar free kick from Kabelo Dlamini.
Truter questioned the yellow card decision and mentioned that he was not sure if it was a red card as the other defender seem to have been far from covering Sesane.
“I think we should’ve gotten something from the game,” Truter told the media after suffering yet another defeat.
“I think we were composed and stable throughout.
“We had a run-through on the goal with Justice Figuareido in the first half. He was brought down, I’m not sure if it’s a red card and then Sibanyoni had a one-on-one with the keeper in the first half as well. We should’ve gone to half-time with something.
“Second, we were still safe, and we were still organized they found it difficult to penetrate. Yes, there was a big chance for them which [Ian] Otieno made a double save on but other than that we managed this well.
“It was a set-play today, it was a set-play against Chippa as well, it takes something special to break us down, but we had to re-adjust because of the goal to look for something we can get from the game.”
