Vilakazi Points Out Major Usuthu Problem

AmaZulu FC head co-coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi feels their defensive structure can be improved.

Usuthu find themselves third from bottom after seven games following their recent 1-0 loss against TS Galaxy which ended a run of two wins in a row.

The KwaZulu-Natal-based side has already made changes in the technical team with Pablo Martins leaving and being replaced by Vilakazi and Arthur Zwane as co-coaches.

When the duo arrived, Usuthu had no points. “Kanu” believes that they can improve especially in their defensive structure because teams score against them, but they don’t score enough goals themselves.

“We strongly believe there are a lot of positives we can take going forward. We just need to align a few areas, especially our defensive structure,” said Vilakazi on the AmaZulu FC website.

“Teams are scoring [against AmaZulu] very easily, but we find it very difficult to score goals, even though we do create scoring opportunities.”
