Former Romania national team striker Andrei Cristea has hailed FCSB defender Siyabonga Ngezana as the most important defender currently playing in the Romania Superliga.
Since moving to Romania, Ngezana has been one of the most outstanding players in the league and helped FCSB to win their first league title in a decade.
The former Kaizer Chiefs defender saw his value jump drastically from 600,000 euros to 10,000,000 euros in the space of a season.
Recently, he was named as Defender Of The Season and Best Foreign Footballer in the Fanatik Super Gala at the 2024 Romanian Football Gala.
Cristea, who previously played for Steaua, Dinamo, and Universitatea Craiova in Romania, praised Ngezana highly and said he is the most important defender.
