Mamelodi Sundowns striker Brayan León Muñiz was not in an offside position and his goal against Siwelele FC should have stood, according to former PSL referee Victor Hlungwani.
The incident occured in Sundowns’ 7-4 crushing of Siwelele in their Betway Premiership clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

Masandawana had taken a 2-0 lead in just 13 minutes, and the Colombian marksman got on the end of Kutlwano Letlhaku’s header to make it 3-0 before the goal was flagged offside.
Replay clearly shows that Letlhaku was onside when receiving the ball and so was León when he tucked the ball home from close range.
Hlungwani was not in agreement with the assistant referee’s decision to flag León offside, further explaining why the goal should’ve been allowed to stand.
“León scored a goal. We said it could’ve been 8-4 but the score is 7-4,” “The Principal” said on Soccerzone.
“But was this goal correctly ruled offside? No!
“When you look at it there, in terms of the offside law, you can see that Letlhaku there he’s onside played by another Siwelele player.

“When Letlhaku plays the ball, León says thank you very much, no offside again.
“So, incorrect decision by the assistant referee to flag for offside.
“This is not correct!
