We Don’t Want To Be Greedy – Seema

Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema says he doesn’t want to be greedy and be ungrateful that his side scored only two goals in a match they could have won by a bigger margin.

His comments come at the back of his side’s 2-0 DStv Premiership win over Chippa United in Polokwane on Wednesday evening.

Jamie Webber and Vusi Mncube scored in the second half against 10-men Chippa, as Babina Noko won their second successive league match to move up to ninth place on the league standings.

The home side had 21 shots, nine on target compared to Chippa’s nine shots and just three on target. The home side are now tied on 17 points with Kaizer Chiefs in eighth spot and Polokwane City in 10th position from 13 matches, with the three sides being separated by goal difference.

Seema says they played against a tough and energised Chilly Boys, who gave Sekhukhune an assignment to go work on their finishing.

“We are happy with a 2-0 score and we must not be greedy,” said Seema after the game.

“And if we had chances like that and we did not take them, that means now there’s training to be done, there’s coaching to be done.

“We must be happy that they’ve given us an assignment because sometimes you get even more frustrated, if you can’t even create chances. So I think we are happy with the 2-0, let us not be greedy.

“It was not an easy game. It might look easy but I think we played against a very energetic Chippa United that a lot of people will say is rested, they haven’t played in a long time and we just played three days back and that is why you see our line-up all the time we are trying to refresh it. Even if it’s one [change] it’s helping, even if it’s two or three it’s helping.

“The only thing that is helping us we know that it’s still a long way to go, I’m still trying to learn, they are still trying to learn [get to know] me, but if we remain structured I think we are headed in the right direction.

“But we are happy with 2-0, we are not complaining.”
