Mamelodi Sundowns captain Themba Zwane has tipped teammate Lucas Ribeiro to walk away with Player of the Season award after his master class performance this season.
Ribeiro has even been backed by legends of the game to be given the award for being the best player for the 2024/25 campaign after finishing the Betway Premiership term with 16 goals and nine assists.
The Brazilian has been mentioned by a lot of people to be the Player of the Season even his peers and some coaches have already stated that.
‘Mshishi’ is the latest player to say Ribeiro should get the award after winning the league and finishing as the top goalscorer.
“Guys that’s obvious! Zwane told the media.
“I think its Ribeiro you can see how he helped the team, and he did wonders this season we must give him, we must give it to him he deserves it.
“I think you can agree with me, is there anyone disagreeing?
Sundowns will be participating in the CAF Champions League final in the next two weekends and Ribeiro is expected to continue with his great form and help the side to win their second champions league star.
