AmaZulu co-head coach Arthur Zwane has defended Richard Ofori after his two costly mistakes against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Usuthu shot-stopper fumbled a cross before Amakhosi’s opener, which he dropped the second Chiefs goal himself into his own net.
However, after the entertaining 2-2 draw, Zwane defended his goalkeeper, insisting he kept his side in the game in the first half.
“Unfortunately football is a game of mistakes,” he said on SuperSport TV.
“[But] as I said earlier on, he kept us in the game [first half]. Sometimes when the pressure mounts, you are bound to crack.
“He made those two crucial mistakes, both of them we know on any given he’d save them, make them look easy.
“Now is our job as coaches to try and help him phsychological because we need him. He’s been doing fantastically well for the team.”
