Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane has revealed his ambitions at the club after signing a new deal.

Zwane, 36, extended his contract by one year with an option to renew for another last week, extending his 15-year stay at the club.

Mshishi arrived at Sundowns as a 21-year youngster and has gone on to become one of the most decorated players at the club.

He has won 15 major trophies with the Brazilians including nine league titles, four domestic cups and two CAF Champions League trophies. He is one of only two players at the club to achieve two CAFCL titles, alongside Denis Onyango.

Zwane has also gone on to become one of the integral members of the South African senior national team and he is currently in Mexico with the squad, preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup starting next week.

Speaking on The Pitchside Podcast the Bafana Bafana international said he wants to leave the club in a better condition than he found it including help them get a third star on their crest.

“For me I just want to leave the club with a different look on the badge again,” said Zwane.

“With three stars and to win the domestic trophies and the league, yeah just to leave the club better than I found it.”
