Siwelele have lost out on the services of Nyiko Mobbie, who is set to return to Sekhukhune United ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Mobbie, 31, was part of the Siwelele takeover, after the club acquired the status of SuperSport United and after suffering an injury mid-way through the campaign became a key part of their defence.
Having racked up 18 appearances in the league in central defender and right back roles, Mobbie was viewed as a key part of their plans but suffered a technical error and missed their deadline to activate his option.
iDiski Times have been informed Sekhukhune acted swiftly to then tie down the 23-time capped South Africa international as a free agent ahead of the new season.
Mobbie is no stranger to the Sekhukhune set-up, having spent three seasons on loan at the club from Mamelodi Sundowns during the period where he was a regular feature in the Bafana Bafana set-up under Hugo Broos.
His arrival is viewed as the technical strategy to shore up their defence options, with the club uncharacteristically leaky in defence last season, conceding 27 league goals in the 30 games.
Babina Noko are also in advanced talks to lure Cedric Kaze as their new head coach for the upcoming season, to be the official successor to Eric Tinkler.
