AmaZulu co-head coach Arthur Zwane says they are aiming to bring smiles to the faces of their loyal supporters after a period of underachievement.
Zwane took over the role alongside Vusumuzi Vilakazi to succeed Pablo Franco Martin in the hot seat and after losing their opening game to Orlando Pirates, they secured back-to-back wins to improve morale, beating Chippa United and Richards Bay.

However, it seemingly went back to factory settings when they lost 1-0 to TS Galaxy in Mbombela last week, leaving them 14th with two wins from seven games.
“We’re nothing without our supporters, they have been carrying the team through thick and thin all these years, never giving up on this team,” Zwane said.
“We came on board, knowing very well, that these are the people we need to make happy, to put a smile on their faces, so yeah we appreciate their support, cherish every moment, with them and please they must come to the game in numbers to support the boys.”

The next challenge comes in the form of yet another regional rivalry in the form of Kwa-Zulu Natal-based side Royal AM, who have two points more, in 12th place albeit having played two more games than Usuthu.
“Derby games are very unpredictable, we’re playing against a good team, playing wise they will be doing well, I think they will get a lot of strength from the last game that they played, you know they were 2-0 down and managed to come back,” he said.
“They got a point away so that will motivate them, they pose a danger in that regard – but we’re ready, either side will want to grab maximum points but we should take advantage of playing at home, the guys are looking forward to this game.
“We need to redeem ourselves, we weren’t bad at all, we lacked that finishing touch, final third entries, it’s the area we must improve on and what we’ve been discussing,” he said.
“They must have analysed us as well, our strengths and weaknesses and I think we will obviously have a different approach, why? We’re playing at home…”
The two sides lock horns on Friday evening at the King Zwelithini Stadium (19h30).
