Coton Sport and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s CAF Champions League group stage encounter at Omnisports Roumde Ad Stadium.
After a perfect start at home a week ago for Sundowns will be keen to make it two wins from two CAF Champions League games against Cameroonian champions Coton Sport.
Masandawana are coming to this game having last lost a CAFCL game away from home in May 2021 when they lost to Al Ahly SC.
Meanwhile, Coton Sport have had an indifferent season so far. They do sit in second place, but have only won five of their 12 games, losing their most recent game 1-0 to Eding Sport FC. Despite their form Rulani Mokwena praised them and their coach Aboubakar Souleymanou.
“We’ve got a very difficult opponent ahead of us, an opponent that gives me a feeling that they have a very good, good coach because you judge the work of the coach based on the schemes and organisational forms and I think that’s the feeling that I get,” Rulani told the media in Cameroon.
“As I said to you also have a very good players and we will do everything within our human capacity to make sure we assist the players to give a good performance and win the football.”
These two sides are facing each other for the first time in history but without any doubts the 2016 CAF Champions League winners are favourites to get all maximum points.
Here is how they line up:
Coton Sport XI: Allambatnan, Fondoh Che, Ali, Houzaifi, Djidjiwa, Nguimzeu, Eno, Wassou Gouegoue, Kaiba, Eboudje
Sundowns XI: Williams, Mudau, Modiba, Mvala, Kekana, Mokoena, Mkhulise, Allende, Maema, Morena, Mailula
Subs: Pieterse, Lebusa, Ngobeni, B. Onyango, Jali, Kutumela, Xungu, Motupa, Ralani
