Egyptian Legend Rallies Behind Pyramids For CAFCL Final

Retired Egyptian footballer Sayed Abdel Hafeez has thrown his weight behind Pyramids FC for the CAF Champions League title.

It’s unheard of that a former Al Ahly player gets to rally behind another Egyptian side in the CAF inter-club competition and throughout the years we have witnessed former players of the club supporting an opposition side that faces a team that is from Egypt specifically Zamalek SC.

This time around, Hafeez has had enough of Mamelodi Sundowns and wants Pyramids to win this match stating that the South African giants once beat Zamalek in 2016 in the CAFCL final and they now beat Al Ahly to reach the final.

He is now pleading with Pyramids to end Sundowns’ dominance over Egyptian teams.

“I want Pyramids to win the championship, especially since Sundowns played the final against three Egyptian clubs: Al Ahly, Zamalek, and Pyramids,” said Hafeez according to Kora Plus.

“As long as an Egyptian club participates in the final, I hope they win the title.”
