Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has already fired a warning to Ahly, saying:
“We are going to make sure that Orlando Stadium is not an easy place for anybody in this group.”
Ahly captain Mohamed El Shenawy says they have more than enough experience to handle the sold-out capacity eSgodini.
“We are Al Ahly we have a lot of experience with such situations and in the end, it’s 11 players against 11 players, so it’s not a matter of having many supporters.”
The head-to-head record between the two sides has historically been hotly contested. The Buccaneers have claimed three wins, with two draws and one loss in six outings, while Ahly have managed just one victory which was the 2013 final.
Kick-off is at 3pm CAT (SA, GMT+2).
