Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder and captain Hlompho Kekana fancies Orlando Pirates to go over MC Alger and make the semi-finals of CAF Champions League.
Pirates went through the group stage campaign without a loss finishing top of group C with 14 points, seeing off tough competition from the likes of Al Ahly and CR Belouizdad along the way while Alger finished second in group A with nine points.

The sides meet in the first leg of the last eight tie away in Algeria on Tuesday evening with Kekana telling iDiski Times in edition 193 that Pirates, with their form in the competition, have a big chance of causing an upset.
“They have a big chance,” Kekana told iDiski Times.
“I am fascinated by the fact that everybody seems to think they have an easy fixture. There’s no easy match in the Champions League. It is a big task, but Pirates are doing well now that their players have been exposed to African football. They showed when they beat Belouizdad with comfort and some good goals in their own backyard; and they even beat Al Ahly in Cairo.
“I fancy them to win this match [against Alger] both away and home. It would be nice to see them in the final and I’d love to see a Pirates v Sundowns final. That would be the ideal match for us South Africans, right?”
