Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye believes Orlando Pirates should sign a holding number six midfielder like Jayden Adams to bolster their chances in the CAF Champions League going forward.
The Buccaneers moved to the top of Group C in the tournament with a 3-0 thrashing of Stade d’Abidjan on match-day four this past weekend, as they look to advance to the knockout phase.

Khanye was impressed with a lot that Pirates did on the pitch in the game, especially the solid defence and brilliant attack, however he said they lacked a link between the two departments – a role he believes the Stellenbosch man can fill with ease encouraging the Sea Robbers to go for him in the current transfer window.
“Jayden Adams is very special like Andre Iniesta and Xavi both of them because they are more or less the same kind of player,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.
“He can play, he can defend, he’s energetic, he knows football and he has awareness in passing.
“Pirates must get him. I know people are taking this lightly but it was evident in today’s game. I know they were playing a weaker opposition but going forward into the crucial knockout matches they need a player like that.”
