Orlando Pirates midfielder Thalente Mbatha has addressed the jeers he got from the club’s fans just before scoring in Orlando this past weekend saying he doesn’t pay much attention to them.
Mbatha lost possession during some moments in the CAF Champions League Group C encounter against CR Belouizdad which fans didn’t appreciate and expressed. This was just before he struck the wonder goal and it’s also something that even coach Jose Riveiro reacted to on the pitch.

The goal sent Pirates into the knockout phase of the tournament with a match to spare and talking to the media after the game, Mbatha said he has learned to not react because fans always have an opinion while adding that he didn’t know his shot would be a great goal.
“Fans will always be talking,” said Mbatha.
“So, it’s something that doesn’t go through my mind because whether you do bad or good they will always still talk. So, they always check for the negative and I just play for the team.

“I just knew that I was going to take the shot, not the goal I didn’t know. But luckily it went through the net so yeah thank you.”
