Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teboho Mokoena has expressed his delight after winning the CAF Champions League.
The 29-year-old netted a trademark scorcher to cancel out Mohamed Hrimat’s opener in the second leg at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat, Morocco, securing a 2-1 aggregate victory for the Brazilians.

Speaking after the match, Mokoena recalled that when he signed for Sundowns, he promised chairman Thlopie Motsepe that he would help them win the tournament that has eluded them for a decade.
He concluded by sending a message of appreciation to the Sundowns faithful, playfully referencing the infamous “57 fans” jibe used by local rivals.
“I don’t know how I’m feeling right now honestly, when I signed for Sundowns, I promised the chairman that we will bring it home,” said Mokoena, in the interview with title sponsor Total Energies.
“And tonight we are taking it back home. I know everyone is happy; our 57 people are there.
“It’s gonna be amazing man, I don’t know what to say and yeah man second star. I know my son, he doesn’t understand for now but in the next 10 years, he will.”
