The fixtures for Orlando Pirates‘ CAF Champions League group stage campaign have been confirmed, as they kick off their Group C 2024/25 continental season with a showdown away from home against Algerian champions CR Belouizdad on Tuesday, 26 November.
The Buccaneers returned to the group stages of the competition for the first in five years after a 3-0 aggregate win over Botswana champions Jwaneng Galaxy.
Jose Riveiro’s charges are fresh from another cup triumph after staging a 3-1 comeback victory against Stellenbosch FC in the MTN8 final this past weekend.
The Soweto giants’ next fixture in Africa will see them host holders Al Ahly on the weekend of 6-8 December before closing off 2024 with another trip on the road against Stade D’Abidjan on the weekend of 13-15 December.
In 2025, on matchday four, Pirates will be back at home in the return leg against D’Abidjan on the weekend of 3-5 January before welcoming Belouizdad eSgodini on the weekend of 10-12 January for matchday five.
Their final group match will see them welcomed by the ever-intimidating Red Devil fans when they take the trip to North Africa for matchday six on the weekend of 17-19 January.
