Orlando Pirates have confirmed the details for their first round CAF Champions League group stage fixture, with the highlight a home match against record champions Al Ahly.
The Buccaneers return to the group stages of the competition for the first time since 2018/19.
However, the Buccaneers have been drawn in what many would call this year’s ‘Group of Death’ alongside Al Ahly, Algerian giants CR Belouizdad as well as Ivory Coast’s Stade d’Abidjan.
The Sea Robbers, who won the competition in 1996, will start their group stages on 26 November away to Khanyisa Mayo’s Belouizdad (21:00), followed by a home clash with Al Ahly on 7 December (15:00).
They finish the first round of the CAFCL group stages with another away trip to Stade d’Abidjan on 12 December (18:00).
