Pyramids FC head coach Krunoslav Jurcic was left frustrated after his side had two goals ruled out by VAR against Orlando Pirates in the first leg of their CAF Champions League semi-final.
The away side celebrated twice, but both goals were ruled out after VAR review, with Fiston Mayele being offside in the first half, while Sodiq Awujoola netted via a hand ball in the second half.

After the match, Jurcic expressed his frustrations with VAR but also insisted he was proud with how his side played.
“I can say that I’m very proud, we played an excellent match, we scored to two goals,” he said on SABC2.
“For me, I won the match today 2-0. I like Africa but not in this way…”
Jurcic praised his side for their performance, after they managed to create the better scoring opportunities at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
“I will repeat I’m very proud how my players played today, how many chances we created. But I’m a little bit frustrated, it’s very difficult to speak now,” he added.
“Football is like this. For me as a coach it’s important that my team created the chances. Sometimes we score, sometimes we don’t score.
“Generally I’m very satisfied.”
