Mamelodi Sundowns and Esperance de Tunis have announced their respective starting 11s for the CAF Champions League first-leg quarterfinal tie at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane this afternoon.
The Brazilains are chasing revenge against the Blood & Gold after both sides met in the semifinals of last season’s showpiece, with the North African side prevailing, only to lose to record champions Al Ahly in the final.

Miguel Cardoso’ charges earned their final eight berth by finishing second in Group B behind ASFAR, while Esperance on the other hand topped Group D.
The North Africans hold the superior advantage in head-to-head terms. The two teams have met on eight previous occasions in this competition with the Blood & Gold claiming four wins while the Brazilians won just once. The other three matches ended in draws.
