Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that Teboho Mokoena remains injured after not making the squad to face Esperance Sportive de Tunis in the CAF Champions League semi-final second leg.
Masandawana need to overcome a 1-0 first-leg deficit at Loftus Versfeld on Friday evening, but will have to make due without one of their key players as Mokoena has not recovered in time from the injury he picked up against Moroka Swallows.
Ahead of the ES Tunis clash, Sundowns confirmed that Mokoena has a hamstring injury and is currently in the rehabilitation stage.
Mokwena has also rung the changes for his starting XI, with Peter Shalulile, Thapelo Maseko and Rivaldo Coetzee replacing Themba Zwane, Thembinkosi Lorch and Aubrey Modiba ahead of the second leg.
Other players who are currently sidelined with injuries are:
- Rushine De Reuck: Knee injury, stage 3 rehabilitation
- Abdelmounaim Boutouil: Groin injury, stage 2 rehabilitation
- Siyanda Nyanga, Knee Injury, Post Op, Stage 3 Rehab
