Orlando Pirates midfield hardman Miguel Timm is confident they boast ample quality to seal progression to the next stage of the CAF Champions League following their draw with Al Ahly at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
The Buccaneers held the defending champions to a 0-0 stalemate, with both sides now on four points in Group C. The other fixture saw Khanyisa Maso’s CR Belouizdad record a crucial 1-0 win away to Stade d’Abidjan to sit on three points.
Timm, who has been a notable absentee in the team of late, was an 81st-minute substitution, and reckons that they have a huge chance of making it out of the group stage because of the quality they possess.
“I think the approach has been one game at a time, clearly it’s been working for us,” Timm told the media after the match.
“We have our next challenge in Ivory Coast, but like again we’ve shown, we go into every game confident knowing that we have the tools to compete with the best.

“And I think we’ll show it again next week. I think we confident even though this is a tough group. I think we have enough quality to push on and get through to the next stages of the competition.
“It’s important for the players to stay logged in. Obviously, also the technical team plays a big role in how they manage the squad and just to be ready to contribute where it’s needed.”
